4-week 3-hour Oil / Acrylic Painting Workshop

• You want to explore your inner creativity

• You are a seasoned artist
  
  
• You've never picked up a paint brush, except to paint your walls

***SO BASICALLY, THIS CLASS IS FOR EVERYONE***

This workshop is for all levels: beginners and experienced artists are welcome!

New and continuing students will focus on developing basic skills, exploring color,
style and various techniques in a relaxed environment

Learn techniques using acrylic, oil, water-based oil paints, or medium of your choice

Learn to develop a portrait, landscape, floral, abstract or whatever pleases you

Explore your inner creative self and express your own individual vision and style

Instructor will conduct demonstrations and will instruct the class as a whole,
as well as spend time with each student individually

Students can choose a photo of something they'd like to paint

Students will learn:

• How to hold and use the paintbrushes
  
  
• How to control paint flow & understand layering techniques
  
  
• Elements of composition & design
  
  
• How to create balance and unity in a painting
  
  
• How colors interact with each other to create depth in a scene
